A. Lale Kosagan: Biography

LALE'S UNDER LOOP:

Born in Istanbul, a rainy day of November 1966, I was extremely lucky to have parents like mines. My father was an architect teaching in the Academy of Fine Arts and my mother was a teacher of accounting in high school. They gave me the chance and the support to study in one of the best high-school of Turkey, Notre Dame De Sion, founded in 1856, the first French school of Ottoman Empire. After 8 years (1977-1985) of Sion, where I had English as a second language, I have succeeded the exam; during my university years (1985-1989), at Bosphorus University (the former Robert College, the first American College out of USA).

I had the opportunity to become a professional tourist guide licensed from the Ministry of Tourism. And meanwhile, I'm graduated from Tourism and Hotel Management.

Since the first years of university education, I've realized that guiding was the most suitable job to my life style: I'm a very active person and should always be in motion; love travelling, people, and the most important adore Turkey and its cultural, historical richness. What can it be better for me? I am also so proud of this richness and I will try to create in your mind, today's' Turkey with all its real aspects if you help me to do so, without any prejudgements.

Everyone may pretend himself or herself to be nationalistic but guides' one role in the society is to show and share their love for their country with the visitors.

I love people, I love Turkey and at the end of a tour with me you will absolutely have an incredible image of Turkey in your minds.
